The Mock Family Foundation provides short-term financial support to widowed parents with young children during the first six months after the loss of a spouse. We are currently supporting a small number of families as part of our initial phase. If you would like to be considered, please complete the form below.

Eligibility

  • Be a widowed parent or surviving partner with at least one child under the age of 18

  • Be within the first six months following the loss of a spouse or partner

  • Currently reside in Montgomery County, PA or Gloucester Township (Camden County), NJ

  • Be experiencing financial need related to the loss, including assistance with essential living expenses such as housing, groceries, childcare, or utilities

  • We support widowed parents with young children who are within the first six months following the loss of a spouse. Our current focus is on families in Montgomery County, PA and Gloucester Township (Camden County), NJ, with plans to expand to additional communities over time.

  • We provide short-term financial assistance to help cover essential needs such as housing, groceries, childcare, and utilities during the earliest months after loss.

  • Support amounts vary based on each family’s needs and our available funding. In most cases, assistance is provided as a one-time or short-term grant.

  • You can apply by completing our online form. We’ve kept it simple and only ask for information that helps us understand your situation.

  • We aim to review applications as quickly as possible and will follow up within a few days when we are able.

  • We may ask for basic documentation, such as an obituary or similar, to help verify eligibility. We understand this is a sensitive time and will only request what is necessary.

  • Yes. All information shared with us is kept private and used only to review your request for support.

  • Due to limited funding, we are not able to fulfill every request. However, we carefully review each application and do our best to support as many families as possible.

  • Yes. A trusted friend, family member, or community partner may submit a request on behalf of a family, as long as they have permission to do so.

  • At this time, our focus is on short-term assistance during the first six months after loss. We may also share additional resources when available.
