Request Support

We are so sorry for your loss.

The Mock Family Foundation offers short-term financial support to widowed parents and surviving partners with young children during the first six months following the loss of a spouse or partner. Our goal is to help ease immediate financial burdens—so families don’t have to navigate this time alone.

As part of our initial phase, we are currently supporting a limited number of families.

Not all requests can be fulfilled due to limited funding. Please review our Support Guidelines before applying.

Eligibility

  • You have experienced the loss of a spouse or partner within the past six months

  • You are the primary caregiver of one or more young children

  • You are experiencing financial strain related to this loss

  • You reside in Montgomery County, PA or Gloucester Township (Camden County), NJ

What We May Be Able to Support

Support is focused on immediate, essential needs that help stabilize daily life. This may include:

  • Housing & Utilities
(contributions toward rent, mortgage, electric, water, and essential services)

  • Basic Living Expenses
(contributions toward groceries and day-to-day necessities)

  • Childcare & Transportation
(contributions toward short-term childcare, car payments, urgent repairs, or gas)

  • Critical Bill Support
contributions toward expenses needed to prevent immediate disruption, such as eviction or service shutoff

Support is provided as a partial contribution toward essential expenses and may not cover the full amount owed.

Support is prioritized for needs that, if unmet, would significantly impact a family’s immediate stability.

Whenever possible, payments are made directly to service providers or vendors.
