The Mock Family Foundation provides short-term financial support to widowed parents and surviving partners with young children during the first six months following the loss of a spouse or partner. Our focus is on families experiencing financial strain related to this loss and currently residing in Montgomery County, PA or Gloucester Township (Camden County), NJ, with plans to expand to additional communities over time.

We provide short-term financial assistance to help cover essential needs such as housing, groceries, childcare, and utilities during the earliest months after loss.

Support amounts vary based on each family’s needs and our available funding. In most cases, assistance is provided as a one-time or short-term grant.

We aim to review applications as quickly as possible and will follow up within a few days when we are able.

Due to limited funding, we are not able to fulfill every request. However, we carefully review each application and do our best to support as many families as possible.

Yes. A trusted friend, family member, or community partner may submit a request on behalf of a family, as long as they have permission to do so.
