The Mock Family Foundation provides short-term financial support to widowed parents and surviving partners with young children during the first six months following the loss of a spouse or partner. As part of our initial phase, we are currently supporting a limited number of families. If you would like to be considered, we invite you to complete the form below.

Eligibility

  • You have experienced the loss of a spouse or partner within the past six months

  • You are the primary caregiver of one or more young children

  • You are experiencing financial strain related to this loss

  • You reside in Montgomery County, PA or Gloucester Township (Camden County), NJ

  • We support parents who have experienced the loss of a spouse or partner within the past six months and are caring for one or more young children. Our focus is on families experiencing financial strain related to this loss and currently residing in Montgomery County, PA or Gloucester Township (Camden County), NJ, with plans to expand to additional communities over time.

  • We provide short-term financial assistance to help cover essential needs such as housing, groceries, childcare, and utilities during the earliest months after loss.

  • Support amounts vary based on each family’s needs and our available funding. In most cases, assistance is provided as a one-time or short-term grant.

  • You can apply by completing our online form above . We’ve kept it simple and only ask for information that helps us understand your situation.

  • We aim to review applications as quickly as possible and will follow up within a few days when we are able.

  • We may ask for basic documentation, such as an obituary or similar, to help verify eligibility. We understand this is a sensitive time and will only request what is necessary.

  • Yes. All information shared with us is kept private and used only to review your request for support.

  • Due to limited funding, we are not able to fulfill every request. However, we carefully review each application and do our best to support as many families as possible.

  • Yes. A trusted friend, family member, or community partner may submit a request on behalf of a family, as long as they have permission to do so.

  • At this time, our focus is on short-term assistance during the first six months after loss. We may also share additional resources when available.
