Leading Through Service
Geoffrey Mock believed that advocacy was more than influencing policy—it was about creating opportunities, building relationships, and improving lives. Throughout his career in public service and government relations, he demonstrated that lasting change begins with listening, collaborating, and giving others a voice. After earning a degree in political science from Kutztown University and later attending law school, Geoffrey discovered that his greatest impact would not come from elected office, but from advocacy. He believed that meaningful progress happens when passionate people work alongside communities, lawmakers, and organizations to solve problems together.
Throughout his career, Geoffrey worked with local, and federal leaders to advance policies that benefited homeowners, strengthened the real estate profession, and expanded housing opportunities on Long Island. His leadership helped promote thoughtful housing initiatives, support balanced real estate legislation, and ensure that the interests of homeowners and real estate professionals were heard in important public policy discussions. His dedication and lasting contributions continue to have a positive impact on the communities he served.
As Director of Government Relations at Lehigh University, Geoffrey served as the university's chief representative to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He successfully advocated for increased state investment in higher education, helping expand opportunities for students from underserved and economically challenged backgrounds. He worked closely with legislators, government agencies, university leaders, and community partners to advance initiatives that benefited both students and the broader public. One of Geoffrey's greatest strengths was his ability to build genuine relationships. Colleagues often described him as collaborative, generous, and deeply committed to bringing people together across sectors and perspectives. He believed that trust, respect, and partnership were essential to creating meaningful change, and he approached every conversation with kindness, professionalism, and optimism.
While Geoffrey's professional achievements were significant, they were never what mattered most to him. His greatest legacy is found in the lives he touched, the relationships he built, and the unwavering faith that guided every step of his journey. That same spirit continues to shape the mission and heart of the Mock Family Foundation.
